_____
A car has crashed into a power pole and a fence at McCurdy and Knorr Roads.
Emergency crews were called to the area, for a single-vehicle collision, just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The intersection of McCurdy and Knorr is closed, as are sidewalks in the area.
The power pole reportedly had smoke coming from it following the crash. FortisBC is on scene.
The car appears to have smashed into garbage and recycling bins before colliding with a power pole and then a fence. The vehicle came to rest in some bushes in a yard on McCurdy.
It is believed a medical emergency may be the cause of the incident and the driver was placed in the care of BC Ambulance.
A witness said they were in their home when they heard a loud bang and then their lights flickered.
The car will have to be towed from the scene.
