A house fire broke out on Vernon's Tronson Road early Friday morning, Aug. 29, 2025.

A Vernon home has been heavily damaged by a fire that broke out early Friday morning.

Firefighters with Vernon Fire Rescue Services responded to the structure fire in the 6600 block of Tronson Road, in the Lakepointe community, at 12:51 a.m. Aug. 29.

Caution tape could be seen cordoning off the driveway of the home later Friday morning. The home appeared to have sustained severe damage on its northeast-facing side.

City of Vernon spokesperson Jessica Hewitt said the fire is believed to have originated outside, near the deck area of the home.

Crews have extinguished the fire and an investigation is underway.

There are no reported injuries, though the home had three occupants, all of whom have been referred to Emergency Support Services for assistance, Hewitt said.
