Flood to Lake Country high school causes extended holiday break for students

While the winter holidays come to an end and Central Okanagan students go back to school on Monday, Jan. 8, the break has been extended two days for a Lake Country high school.

George Elliot Secondary School announced on Sunday night that they won鈥檛 open their doors until Wednesday, Jan. 10 due to a recent flood in the building. It鈥檚 not known when the flooding occurred.

The two-day delay is for workers to fix the damage and make sure the school is safe for all to return.
