Wet flurries could fall overnight on multiple Okanagan highways, according to a special weather statement from Environment Canada.
The federal forecaster says drivers may experience wet conditions Saturday night (May 17) until Sunday morning on the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to 麻豆精选, Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt, and Highway 3 in Princeton via Allison Pass.
Snowfall accumulations will be "minimal," possibly reaching up to five centimetres, Environment Canada added.
"An upper disturbance passing through the B.C. interior is expected to drop the snow levels overnight tonight to around 1500 meters," its statement reads.
"Please be prepared to adjust your driving as weather conditions at high elevations may change quickly. Slow down and maintain a safe following distance."
A chance of showers remains in the Okanagan forecast this long weekend, with daytime temperatures expected to hit between 14 to 19 C until Monday (May 19).
