The BCHL's Penticton Vees aren't done yet.
Will Ingemann made 31 saves and Simon Meier scored the game-winning goal early in the third period as the Vees staved off elimination and edged the visiting Brooks Bandits 3-2 in Game 5 of the Interior Conference finals on May 9.
Brooks leads the best-of-seven series 3-2, with Game 6 set for Monday night (May 12) in Alberta.
Louie Wehmann and Max Heise also scored for Penticton, which dropped the first two games of the series on home ice.
Ingemann, who was named the game's first star, now owns a .938 save percentage in the series. The Minnesota product has allowed just five goals in three games.
Both of Brooks' goals came on the power play, with Parker Lalonde and Mathis Dufour finding the back of the net. Lalonde opened the game's scoring 11 minutes into the first period.
Penticton replied with two markers in the middle frame, as Wehmann and Heise scored at 4:05 and 16:19, respectively, to give the Vees a 2-1 lead.
Meier notched the eventual game-winner at 1:58 of the third period. Brooks scored its final goal seven minutes later to make it 3-2, but that's as close it would get.

A Vees' victory would force a Game 7, which would take place one night later at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The winner of the series will advance to the Fred Page Cup finals and battle the Chilliwack Chiefs.
