Dear Students, Families, and Staff, On behalf of the Board of Education, I am delighted to welcome you to the new school year in Central Okanagan Public Schools. Each September brings with it a sense of renewal amid new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection.
With each new beginning comes the promise of what lies ahead: the chance to discover your strengths, embrace challenges, and strive toward your best self. It is also an honour for me to introduce and welcome our new Superintendent of Schools and CEO, Jon Rever.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of our school district. His strong, progressive leadership style will serve our district well into the future. I’m sure you will see him in your school community; when you do, please take a moment to say hello.
As we begin this year together, we are guided by the commitments outlined in our Strategic Plan: Inclusion: We strive to ensure that every student, staff member, and family feels welcome, valued, and supported.

This means removing barriers, addressing systemic inequities, and providing the support each individual needs to succeed. We know that education is most powerful when schools, families, and communities work in partnership. Together, we will continue to foster safe, caring, and inspiring learning environments where every learner can not only reach their full potential but also dream boldly and achieve with confidence.
