A second hiker has been found deceased, after three people fell into the water at Meachen Creek Falls near Kimberley on Monday, Sept. 1.

On Monday Kimberley RCMP were alerted by a GPS SOS device that three hikers went over Meachen Creek Falls. Frontlint officers responded, initially locating a deceased 68-year-old woman halfway down the falls.
At the time, RCMP continued searching for the remaining two hikers.
On Wednesday, Sept. 3 the RCMP said in a release that the body of a 35-year-old woman has now been located, with efforts geared towards recovery.
RCMP said a 35-year-old man remains missing, but is presumed dead and efforts are still underway to locate and recover him.
"The investigation is ongoing although none of the deaths are believed to be suspicious," RCMP said. "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased."
