Lightning is the suspected cause of an out-of-control wildfire discovered near the Cinnemousun Narrows on Aug. 25.

Lightning is the suspected cause of a wildfire recently sparked near the Cinnemousun Narrows in the Shuswap. 

Discovered on Monday, Aug. 25, the fire on Aline Hill is currently listed at 0.009 hectares and classified as out of control, which means the spot-sized fire is spreading or anticipated to grow beyond the current perimeter or control line. 

There are currently no area restrictions or evacuation alerts for the area, but according to Environment Canada, temperatures in the Shuswap are expected to be in the low 30s and high 20s for the remainder for the week, with no rain in the forecast.
