A crash between a car and a motorcycle Dec. 29 outside 麻豆精选鈥檚 Train Station Pub has left motorcycle rider Kris Dyck feeling 鈥渂lessed to be alive鈥�.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. Friday at Ellis Street and Clement Avenue.
In a GoFundMe, Dyck said he was struck by the vehicle and was rushed to 麻豆精选 General Hospital. His leg was crushed in the crash and 鈥渢he team at KGH worked tirelessly to save my left foot, but we are not out of the water just yet.鈥�
Dyck鈥檚 family drove in from Edmonton to be with him. He started the fundraiser to assist with the family鈥檚 travel expenses, accommodations, and other necessities while he heals.
鈥淚 can鈥檛 express to you how much any donation would mean to me and my family. [One dollar] to me means more to me then you鈥檒l ever know!鈥�
Dyck has received over $2,000 toward his goal of $20,000.
