If you walked around downtown 麻豆精选 on Saturday and noticed the flags at City Hall standing at half mast, there鈥檚 a good reason for it.

The celebration of life for former 麻豆精选 council member and 麻豆精选-Lake Country MLA Al Horning was held on Saturday, June 10. The flags were at half mast to honour the 83-year old who died on March 23 of this year.

Raised in 麻豆精选, Horning was elected to 麻豆精选 City Council in 1980 and stayed in that position until 1988. He was elected to the House of Commons that year.

In 2002, he returned to 麻豆精选 City Council and three years later in 2005, he was elected the MLA for 麻豆精选-Lake Country.
