Anyone considering a career in policing has an opportunity to learn more over a cup of java (or tea, Iced Capp, latte, etc.)
The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is inviting the community to join them for Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday, Aug. 27, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at Tim Hortons at 3510 27th St.
"This informal event gives residents the opportunity to meet local officers, ask questions, and have some meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee," the detachment said.
Members of the RCMP Recruiting will also be present to provide information and answer questions about the recruiting process.
"If you鈥檝e been thinking about a career in policing, this is your chance to take that first step and learn more about the opportunities that await you in the force."
