The University of B.C. Okanagan Heat soccer teams were on a heater over the weekend.
Both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams cinched victories over the University of Fraser Valley Cascades on Sunday Oct. 1.
On the men鈥檚 side, the win was the team鈥檚 third of the season. Ian Klumpen, a first year defender from Austin, Texas, put the Heat into the lead by securing his first career goal with a header in the 36th minute.
The men managed to shut-out the Cascades and won with a final score of 1-0.

The dominant women鈥檚 team was also victorious thanks in part to yet another goal from superstar athlete Stefanie Young in the 66th minute of the match. Young is now the top scorer in all of U Sports and holds the Heat record for most goals scored in a season and all-time. The 麻豆精选-made player was assisted by Sonia Sarai, from New Westminster.

Minutes earlier, Annabelle Walker, a rookie from Calgary had scored the first goal of the game, finding the back of the net after a solo effort in the 54th minute.
The Cascades scored one goal, with the final score 2-1 for the Heat.
There are three games left in the regular season before the playoffs. The women鈥檚 team is ranked third in the division while the men鈥檚 team is ranked fourth.
