Make money make sense with free online course in the Okanagan

Money is a big topic for everyone at all times with continuously rising interest rates and expanding costs but have you ever needed help with how to properly manage your finances?

Beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 23, Launch Okanagan is offering a free eight-week money management course to better understand everyday financial matters, called 鈥楧ollars and Sense鈥.

Over the eight weeks, the classes are held on Zoom and cover budgeting, saving and investing, credit and debit management, consumerism, and your relationship with money. The instructors are financial professionals and will help provide those who take part with financial stability.

鈥淭he Dollars and Sense program is suited for anyone that wants to improve their financial situation and learn strategies on how to manage their money more effectively,鈥 said Launch Okanagan executive director Jennifer Robins. 鈥淧ast participants have had a wide range of knowledge, diverse backgrounds, and different experiences with money. We welcome everyone. Regardless of background, many things that impact our financial lives are outside our control. This program helps people to identify, understand, and prepare for these instances, so they can succeed no matter the circumstances.鈥

The course is free to join and participants can remain anonymous if they choose. It begins on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and runs until Tuesday, Mar. 12. Each class is an hour and a half - 6 to 7:30 p.m. Register is available at https://launchokanagan.ca/program-registration.
