A celebration of music, dance and local food will be held in Summerland on Sept. 12.

Harvest Harmony will start the Summerland Fall Fair and the Ryga Arts Festival.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a celebration of our community spirit as we kick off the Fall Fair and Ryga Festival," event organizers say. "Not only that, as a fundraiser, every ticket sold will help fuel up all four of these incredible not-for-profit groups."

The event, at the Summerland Community Centre, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a swing dance lesson by Natalie Hobbs.

After dancing, light food and refreshments will be provided, and a selection of beer, cider and wine will be available.

The South Okanagan Big Band will provide live music for the evening.

The cost is $30 per person, with tickets available at Sass Boutique, 10118 Main St. or online at .

Organizers expect the event will sell out before the doors open.
