Armstrong IPE rolls out schedule of events

5-day fair takes place Aug. 27-31

Whether it's the Stampede action, the thrills on the midway, the entertainment, animals or the food that you crave the most, there's no shortage of fun to be had at the IPE.

Armstrong's annual Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) and Stampede kicks off Wednesday, Aug. 27, for five days of fair fun through to Sunday, Aug. 31.

"There's something for everyone," the IPE says.

The fairgrounds will be packed with action for all ages each day. Meanwhile Saturday, Aug. 30, the community comes together for the parade at 10 a.m. which starts on Pleasant Valley Road (near Memorial Park), moves onto Pleasant Valley Boulevard, turns up Patterson Avenue and ends on Okanagan Street at Rosedale Avenue.

Entry tickets, rodeo passes, barn dance tickets and ride bracelets are available for purchase online at -ipe-stampede-2025. IPE admission and midway tickets are also available on site.

Or you can get discounted ride bracelets and family passes at Askew's in Armstrong, Salmon Arm, Enderby and Sicamous. The special price is only available until closing on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

"This year’s theme, The Hobbiest Place on Earth, shines a spotlight on Division 14: Hobbies — celebrating the creativity, passion, and skill of our community," the IPE said. "From woodworking, painting, and quilting to cake decorating, collecting, and countless other pastimes, hobbies are a joyful way to connect, de-stress, and share talents."

Fair-goers can check out all the incredible displays that inspire new interests and showcase the dedication of exhibitors of all ages.

The full schedule is in Thursday's newspaper.
