Penticton baseball star wins gold in Alberta with Team BC

Mullins helps provincial baseball team go 6-0 at prestigious tournament

The South Okanagan's only representative at a Western Canadian baseball tournament has returned home a champion.

Charlie Mullins of Penticton helped Team BC's U13 AAA squad win the Okotoks Academy Father's Day Classic in Alberta on June 15.

Mullins, who plays out of the South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association, powered his home province to a 6-0 record en route to the title.

Team BC cruised to a 10-0 win in the championship game over tournament hosts Okotoks.

Mullins was the lone South Okanagan product on Team BC.
