There was no shortage of Penticton Vees seen at NHL development camps this summer.

A total of 16 former BCHLers who played in Penticton took part in the annual prospects-based summer training camps, including two-time Fred Page Cup champions Aydar Suniev (Calgary Flames), Josh Nadeau (Carolina Hurricanes), and Frank Djurasevic (Dallas Stars).

NHL development camps typically commence during the first week of July, shortly after the league's June draft.

Along with Suniev, Nadeau and Djurasevic â€” who teamed up to win back-to-back BCHL titles for Penticton in 2022 and 2023 — other former Vees to receive NHL development camp invites included:

• Francesco Dell’Elce (Colorado Avalanche)
• James Fisher (Columbus Blue Jackets)
• Tom Richter (Columbus Blue Jackets)
• Luca Di Pasquo (Dallas Stars)
• Larry Keenan (Detroit Red Wings)
• Ben Merrill (Montreal Canadiens)
• Hiroki Gojsic (Nashville Predators)
• Luke Reid (New Jersey Devils)
• Beanie Richter (New York Rangers)
• Ryan MacPherson (Philadelphia Flyers)
• Michael Fisher (San Jose Sharks)
• Max Heise (San Jose Sharks)
• Callum Arnott (Tampa Bay Lightning)

NHL development camp rosters are made up of draft picks, signees, and invited players.

A total of 83 former or current BCHLers were invited to the events.
