The lightning-caused wildfire on the side of Green Mountain near Apex is now considered held by the BC Wildfire Service.
According to its 9 a.m. June 18 update, the fire is now believed to be in a condition where it is still active but will not grow beyond its current boundaries.
The fire is an estimated 0.7 hectares in size, and was first discovered on June 16.
Aerial resources include BCWS air tankers that were deployed to the fire on June 17.
The Apex Volunteer Fire Rescue was also coordinating with BCWS in responding to the fire, which was located in difficult terrain on Green Mountain.
