The Coquihalla Highway was closed northbound for more than eight hours because a semi-truck collided with a snow plow.
鈥淧lease slow down, don鈥檛 pass plow trucks on the right, and give our crews and equipment time and space to do their jobs, keeping BC highways safe for everyone,鈥 says Yellowhead Road & Bridge Nicola Ltd. in a Facebook post.
UPDATE 8:50 a.m.
The Coquihalla Highway has reopened northbound.
Traffic congestion is expected in the area.
鉁 CLEAR - #BCHwy5 has now reopened Northbound out of #HopeBC after a vehicle incident 2km south of #MerrittBC. Expect congestion as the road clears and watch for crews.

A vehicle crash has the Coquihalla Highway closed northbound.
According to the DriveBC website, the crash occurred around Larson Hill (exit 250) but the DriveBC X account states the crash happened two kilometres south of Merritt.

The crash happened just before midnight.
An assessment is in progress and an alternate route is available.
