A trio of warnings remain in place for three Okanagan highways as a winter storm continues.

On Tuesday, Jan. 9, the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton has a winter storm warning while Highway 1 from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass has a snowfall warning in place.

Both the Coquihalla and Highway 3 are expecting another 20-30 cm of snow today. Additionally, because of a strong low-pressure system, the highways are forecasted to have up to 70 km/h winds. Because of this, there will be very limited visibility because of blowing snow.

Highway 1 is expecting close to 10 cm of snow.

Environment Canada is asking drivers to consider postponing non-essential travel until weather conditions improve.

Black Press will keep up-to-date throughout the day.
