Lightning is the suspected cause of a spot-sized fire burning near Whatshan Lake.
BC Wildfire Service says the blaze is .09 hectares near Barnes Creek. It is in the forested area between the the Vernon-Slocan Highway 6 and Whatshan Lake.
The fire was discovered Wednesday, July 2.
