West 麻豆精选 RCMP confirm reports that a man sustained serious burns after an accident on Dominion Road Wednesday morning.
On June 28, 2017 at 9:13 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of an industrial incident at the 麻豆精选 Ready Mix located on the 2300 block of Dominion Road.
鈥淚nitial reports have indicated that a 62-year-old male sustained what were described as serious burns, to most of his body, as a result of an explosion, believe to have occurred during the transference of gasoline from one fuel transport vehicle into another,鈥� explains Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey.
鈥淭he man has been rushed to hospital by emergency paramedics for treatment of his injuries.鈥�
West 麻豆精选 RCMP continue to work closely with Work Safe BC, as both agencies continue to determine what exactly transpired.

A fire investigator, RCMP and WorkSafeBC are on scene investigating a fire Wednesday morning that sent one person to hospital with burns.
Fire Chief Jason Brolund says crews were initially called to a report of a car fire on Dominion Road.
When crews arrived the fire had already been extinguished, so firefighters jumped into action helping a man injured in the reported gasoline fire.
鈥淭he patient was transported to hospital,鈥� says Brolund.
鈥淥ur fire investigator is now completing their investigation with RCMP and WorkSafeBC.鈥�
Brolund says the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
Moments later, crews were called to a second fire in West 麻豆精选 Estates where a neighbour saved the day.

Emergency crews rushed a man to hospital, Wednesday morning, after he was seriously burned.
The incident happened at 2313 Dominion Road, just after 9 a.m., when witnesses say gasoline caught fire beside a vehicle and a man tried to extinguish it.
It鈥檚 unclear how the gasoline caught fire, however the flames were near a residence in the vicinity to the KRM gravel pit.
The 麻豆精选 General Hospital was notified that paramedics were bringing in a serious burn victim.
The man鈥檚 current condition is not known.
