A 麻豆精选 man has pleaded guilty to his role in the 2005 death of a toddler in Calgary, Alta.
Ryan John Podhorodecki entered a guilty plea to manslaughter in a Calgary Court Room on Tuesday.
Back in December of 2005, Podhorodecki called police after claiming two-year-old Blake Harvey fell down the stairs and was in medical distress.
At the time police released a statement claiming Harvey鈥檚 injuries were not consistent with a fall down the stairs, as stated by the caregiver who was at the home. An autopsy confirmed his death was a homicide.
In Oct. of 2015 Podhorodecki was arrested in Victoria and charged with manslaughter.
He was the common-law boyfriend of Harvey鈥檚 mother at the time of the incident.
Sentencing has been scheduled for Podhorodecki for June 13.
