The iconic Bankhead Convenience Store on Bernard Avenue went up in flames early in the morning on June 4.
Bernard Ave was closed to traffic and pedestrians while crews worked to extinguish the blaze for approximately five hours.
As the roof was on fire, the structure was unsafe to enter.
The Bankhead store on was reduced to rubble and is considered a complete loss.
A total of 23 fire personnel responded to the blaze.
Platoon Captain Jarret Dais said the fire appeared to start on the exterior of the building and made its way into the attic.
According to the RCMP, the fire is believed to have been deliberately caused by arson. One man has been arrested in connection with the the fire.
