BC Wildfire Service is responding to a fire in the Malakwa area.
Discovered on Monday, July 21, the .01 hectare Yard Creek fire was located southeast of Malakwa and Highway 1.
BCWS said it had an initial attack crew responding to the Rank 1 smouldering fire, ignited after lightning struck a tree.
