Good morning, 麻豆精选! It's a beautiful, albeit chilly, day in the valley. If you have a few minutes, here's a sampling of the news of the day.

.) In case you had the luxury of not finding out, it's cold outside.  Worse yet, Environment Canada says it's going to stay that way.  Today will be mainly cloudy with a high of -10 C and a low of -14 C.

.) The new overdose prevention sites at the Living Positive Resource Centre and the recently vacated 麻豆精选 Health Centre site, will give drug users a greatly desired measure of safety. What do you think about them? Has their time come?

.) Lake Country pets can breathe easy now. A donation has ensured that your fur-babies will get a breath of fresh air when in need.

.) Carrying on with the tradition of horrid 2016 celebrity news, Alan Thicke died. The Canadian-born actor, who was a staple of '80s childhoods, was only 69-years-old.

.) World news: A cease-fire deal between rebels and the Syrian government in the city of Aleppo effectively collapsed on Wednesday, with fighter jets resuming deadly air raids over the opposition's densely crowded enclave in the east of the city.
