1. The courts

•There was a surprise plea accepted at a manslaughter trial where a man was on trial for stabbing his ex fiance. He will be sentenced Friday.

•The Okanagan Rail Trail was in the news but as part of a civil lawsuit over land in Lake Country, on the back side of Wood Lake, where former Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ city councillor Colin Day is suing Lake Country for expropriating his land.

•Also, a Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ man received a nine month sentence for obstructing justice by threatening a witness in his upcoming trial.

2. Accident Update
