The driver of one of the vehicles in a three-car Vernon collision that sent two people to hospital has been charged.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP officers responded to the collision on Highway 6 near 25th Avenue and Polson Park around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Police say a vehicle was turning right from 25th Avenue onto Highway 6 when it crossed the centre line and crashed into a vehicle that was stopped in traffic in the left turn lane of the highway.
The first vehicle then collided head-on with another vehicle.
Two drivers were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, said Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer for the Vernon RCMP.
The diver of the first vehicle was charged under the BC Motor Vehicle Act for driving without due care and attention.
All three vehicles were damaged and needed to be towed away from the scene.
