This historic photo is of 麻豆精选鈥檚 North End community circa 1949. The houses seen here were built by the Crown Corporation Wartime Housing Ltd. for the returning WWII servicemen. Two basic models were available: A two-bedroom, one-storey bungalow, which was sold for $1,982; and a four-bedroom, 1.5-storey house, for $2,680.
