This historic photo is of the Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Memorial Arena, which was built in 1945 using a memorial fund given to the city after World War II. The arena has a seating capacity of 2,600. It is notable for its unusually small ice surface of 180’ x 80’. As well as numerous junior hockey teams, it once hosted the Buckaroos, the Spartans, the Packers, the Western Hockey League’s Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Wings and the Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Rockets before they moved into the new Skyreach Place which then was renamed Prospera Place in 2003.
