Power has finally been restored to thousands in Lake Country and Vernon.
BC Hydro says the cause of the outage, which lasted nearly seven hours, is ‘other.’
UPDATE: 9:25 p.m.
As of 8:50 p.m. BC Hydro crews were confirmed on site of an outage affecting almost 2,000 customers from Lake Country to Vernon.
For the 14 customers along Dick, Chase, Seaton and Read Road in Lake Country, power is estimated to be restored at 10:40 p.m.
However, there is still no estimated time for the lights to switch back on for the 1,248 customers closer to Vernon.

Nearly 2,000 people are in the dark following a windstorm Monday evening.
BC Hydro is reporting most of Lake Country and some Vernon customers are without power, as of 6 p.m. Oct. 23, including Sparkling Hill Resort.
The cause of the outage is under investigation, but at the time a winds were gusting between 20 km/hr to 40 km/hr.
A crew has been assigned to the outage, however, there is no current time of power being restored.
