Communities in the South Okanagan and Similkameen served as Canada鈥檚 hot spots on April 2, as daytime temperatures climbed over 22 degrees Celsius.
Osoyoos stood atop the nationwide list by recording a high of 24.2 C Tuesday, according to Environment Canada.
Summerland, Princeton and Penticton followed in succession, posting marks of 22.6, 22.4 and 22.1 C, respectively.
Environment Canada data indicates most of the region has enjoyed daytime highs of between 20 and 24 C to start April.
The balmy start to spring鈥檚 middle month comes after a warmer and drier-than-normal winter.

In Penticton, a mean temperature of 14.5 C was recorded on April 2. That鈥檚 up from the 9.3 C mean mark on April 1, when it dropped to -1.8 C in the city overnight.
Daytime highs across the region are expected to fall back to seasonal this week, with Osoyoos, Summerland and Penticton forecasted to record marks of 9 to 15 C from April 4 to 6.
Princeton, meanwhile, could see temperatures fall to 6 C on Thursday, April 4.
A chance of showers is forecasted for the South Okanagan and Similkameen on the same day.
