Santa is coming to Wilson鈥檚 Landing early.
Residents in communities served by the Wilson鈥檚 Landing Fire Department are encouraged to watch on Tuesday, Dec. 5 for the flashing lights signifying the department鈥檚 Santa Run food drive.
From 6-9 p.m., Santa will be joining department members on their festively glowing fire vehicles, travelling the streets and roads of the areas they serve from Traders Cove to Shelter Cove to collect food and cash donations for the West 麻豆精选 branch of the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
Residents are asked to turn on their outside lights and leave their donation on their doorstep, porch or at the end of their driveway for firefighters to pick up.
鈥淔ollowing a difficult summer, many families in our communities are facing difficult times financially,鈥� said chief Paul Zydowicz. 鈥淲e know how generous and supportive this community is and want to thank everyone for their continued support of the annual Santa Run food collection to help families in need on the west side of Okanagan Lake.鈥�
