The city is looking for public input on two new activity centres to be built in the Mission and Glenmore neighbourhoods.
Participants can visit the City of 麻豆精选 website and choose an activity centre to engage in.
鈥淯nderstanding what matters at a neighbourhood level is a vital step in planning and developing infrastructure to best support those who will use it most,鈥 says Robert Parlane, parks and building planning manager. 鈥淏y engaging with residents within their neighbourhoods and taking into account their needs and hopes for these spaces, we can create facilities that bring communities together and enhance overall quality of life.鈥
Community engagement is open until Sunday, Dec. 10.
Residents are also invited to attend one of two drop-in information sessions:
- Glenmore Information Session - Wednesday, Nov. 29, 3:30 鈥 6 p.m. at Little Owl Academy (1984 Kane Road);
- Mission Information Session: Thursday, Nov. 30, 3:30 鈥 6 p.m., in the Capital News Centre Lobby (4105 Gordon Drive).
While there is a specific neighbourhood focus for each session, information about both activity centres will be available at each of the two sessions.
Both centres will be designed to support community needs such as social gatherings, sport, leisure, and fitness programs, events, celebrations and childcare.
