Potential measles exposure 4 times in 5 days at Lake Country restaurant

Canadian franchise Chopped Leaf is set to open its newest location in Lake Country on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Interior Health is notifying the public of a potential measles exposure in Lake Country.

In a statement posted on social media Tuesday (July 15), the exposure potentially took place at Chopped Leaf in Lake Country, located at Unit 76-9522 Main Street.

The public exposure took place four times over a five-day span - July 7, 9, 10, 11 - each time between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The regional health authority is asking people who were at the restaurant during these times to monitor for. Those who may start to feel symptoms can call 811 for an initial assessment. 

"If you need to visit a health-care provider, please call ahead so they can take the necessary steps to ensure you don't pass the infection on to others," said IH.

Chopped Leaf in Lake Country opened at the end of February this year.
