New 29-storey mixed-use development proposed for 麻豆精选鈥檚 North End

Would be located just a few hundred meters north of a recently reapproved four-tower development on Ellis Street

Plans for a 29-storey tower proposed for 麻豆精选鈥檚 North End have been submitted to city hall.

Vancouver-based Ulmus Developments Ltd. (UDL) is looking for council approval to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) and rezone the property at 437 Bay Avenue for a new mixed-use development.

The development, which proposes 230 units, aligns with the North End Neighbourhood Plan (NEP) to revitalize the area, according to UDL鈥檚 proposal.

The site is currently zoned for industrial use and is adjacent to the Mill Site Area Redevelopment Plan.

鈥淭he project aims to contribute to the growth of 麻豆精选鈥檚 downtown core by offering increased urban density, diverse housing options, and public spaces while fostering community interaction,鈥 planning documents state.

The proposal has not yet been presented to council. If built, it would be located just a few hundred meters north of a recently reapproved four-tower development on Ellis Street.
