The 麻豆精选 Rockets dropped their first game back after the Christmas break to the Blazers in Kamloops Wednesday night (Dec. 27)
Kamloops opened the scoring at 14:33 of the first period on a goal by Andrew Thomson.
The Blazers went up 2-0 at the 58-second mark of the second when Jordan Keller found the net behind Rockets goaltender Jari Kykkanen on the power play.
Dylan Sydor made it 3-0 Kamloops at 6:16 of the second.
麻豆精选 finally got on the board a minute later with an unassisted goal by Hiroki Gojsic, his seventh of the season, to make it 3-1.
With Kykkaen pulled for the extra attacker the Rockets Gabriel Szturc scored his 15th at 17:43 of the third period, with assists to Andrew Cristall and Caden Price.
That would be it for 麻豆精选, however, as they would fall short and lose 3-2.
The Rockets are in seventh spot in the WHL Western Conference (15-16-2-0) with 32 points.
麻豆精选 hosts Kamloops Friday (Dec. 29) at Prospera Place with the puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
The 50-50 draw for that game starts at $10,000.
