In partnership with Okanagan 4 Ukraine, 麻豆精选 Stands with Ukraine and the United Way of B.C., the Okanagan Regional Library is launching a new collection of Ukrainian books for children.
鈥淲e are honoured to support this initiative, which not only enriches our library鈥檚 collection but also strengthens our commitment to serving all members of our diverse communities," said Danielle Hubbard, CEO of Okanagan Regional Library. "The addition of Ukrainian children鈥檚 literature is a significant milestone in fostering cultural understanding and inclusivity within our library system.鈥�
The new books will help Ukrainian children connect with their culture and language.
The collection will be launched during an event on Aug. 23 at the library branch in downtown 麻豆精选 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Activities and treats will be available for children in attendance free of cost.
