Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Chiefs drop weekend games to 100 Mile House and Chase

The Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Chiefs went 0-2 on the weekend (Oct. 6-7), losing both games in the first overtime.

On Friday (Oct. 6) the Chiefs lost 3-2 to the 100 Mile House Wranglers at Rutland Arena.

The Chiefs had goals from Joseph Melichar and Hunter O’Neal in the first and second periods.

Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ was up 2-1 late in the third when 100 Mile House tied the game on a goal from Ethan Davey.

Memfis Burgeson scored the overtime winner for the Wranglers.

Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡â€™s Zach Peitsch took second star honours.

The Chiefs were on the road Saturday (Oct. 7) night in Chase to play the Heat.

Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ potted two power-play goals, including one by Xavier Burgher to take the second-period lead.

However, the Heat’s Kieran Armitage tied the game at 1:42 of the third, also on the power play.

With just over three minutes into the overtime frame, Mikel Hrechka scored the game-winner for Chase.

Sid Chadi and Campbell Pinsonneault also scored for the Chiefs.

Peitsch was named the first star of the game.

Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ currently sits in fourth place (2-4-2-0-0) in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with six points.

The Chiefs’ next game, at home, is Fri. Oct. 13 when they host the Beaver Valley Nighthawks.
