麻豆精选 RCMP seized a multitude of weapons and illicit drugs on July 4.
Cpl. Guillaume Tanguay with the Proactive Enforcement Unit said officers conducted several projects targeting ongoing community safety issues and illicit drug trafficking.
The seizures included:
- One rifle with ammunition,
- Two replica firearms,
- Over $3100 of Canadian currency,
- Other illegal weapons,
- Six cartons of illegal cigarettes,
Various illicit drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone, crack and methamphetamines.
鈥淭hese projects and their respective seizures demonstrate our relentless pursuit of criminal offenders,鈥� said Cpl. Tanguay.
The same day as the seizures, police also stopped a youth who was dangerously riding an electric dirt bike. The individual was ticketed and the bike impounded for stunting.
