A high streamflow advisory means that river levels are rising or are expected to rise rapidly. No major flooding is anticipated. Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
The government of B.C. issued the alert as fast-flowing bodies of water increase risk to life safety. People are urged to use caution around flowing water.
An unsettled low-pressure system is approaching the southern interior from the east. The low-pressure storm system is expected to bring precipitation until Sunday, June 22.
