麻豆精选 RCMP have yet to make an arrest in relation to a stabbing incident the evening of May 24.
Police responded to a call for a stabbing around 7:45 p.m. on Leon Avenue at Gordon Drive.
Arriving officers found a man with injuries consistent with a stab wound. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Police spoke with several witnesses to the incident. Stated in a press release on May 25, the early investigation indicates the suspect and victim were involved in an argument at which time the suspect stabbed the victim.
鈥淭he stabbing does not appear to be a random act,鈥� said Sergeant Judith Bertrand, a media liaison officer with 麻豆精选 RCMP.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video footage in the 1000-block of Leon Avenue, or near Harvey Avenue and Gordon Drive between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on May 24 is asked to call the 麻豆精选 RCMP at 250-762-3300.
