Development at Train Station Pub property back before 麻豆精选 council

A five-storey mixed-use building and single-storey commercial building are proposed

A residential-commercial development proposed for the Train Station Pub property on Clement Avenue will be back in front of city council Oct. 16.

Kasian Architecture is planning a five-storey mixed-use building, a single-storey commercial building, and expanding the current liquor store

The company applied for a development permit and Heritage Revitalization Agreement (HRA) for the property at 520 Clement Ave in Aug. 2022.

The original HRA, completed in 2010, proposed three commercial buildings located at the perimeter of the property and surrounding the restored CN Station building.

A report going to council says 鈥渟taff agree with the Heritage Consultant鈥檚 professional opinion, that the proposal represents a 鈥榞ood model of conservation and evolution for a historic site. The protected building is not being altered in any way, and ample space is being left between it and the infill buildings.鈥欌

There is also a ginkgo tree on the property that would be protected under the HRA.
