A six-storey commercial-residential building planned for the central area of the city has drawn accolades from 麻豆精选 council.
The 71-unit project is to be built on property at 1864 Gordon Drive, across from the Capri Centre between Sutherland and Borden avenues.
Several councillors were impressed with the project.
“It’s a nice design,” said Coun. Luke Stack. “It’s rare that we have a large multi-storey building that doesn’t have one variance. It’s quite a challenge to meet every single requirement and they have.”
The development contains 38 one-bedrooms, 29 two-bedrooms (including five townhome units), and four three-bedroom suites.
Council voted in favour of issuing a development permit for the project.
