2 麻豆精选-based non-profits receive grants from Beem Credit Union

The recipients of Beem Credit Union's Community Investment Fund for spring 2025 have been announced. 

Two 麻豆精选-based non-profit organizations were selected to receive between $5,000 and $15,000 to help launch or grow programs that help connect people, support mental health, and celebrate culture. 

鈥淭hese organizations are stepping up to meet the unique needs of their communities,鈥 said Brian Harris, CEO of Beem Credit Union. 鈥淭his seed funding is about more than dollars鈥攚e believe in their work to build resilience, inclusion, and connection across B.C.鈥

The local organizations receiving grant money are the Wahkotowin Wellness Services Association and BrainTrust Canada. Wahkotowin Wellness services supports Indigenous youth and family through culture workshops and online tools. BrainTrust delivers interactive therapy to youth with brain injuries. The exact amount each group will be given was not provided. 

Beem Credit Union has contributed over $2.3 million through its Community Investment Fund since 2007. 

The other recipients for spring are the Conayt Friendship Society in Nicola Valley, the Chase Festival Society, Lillooet Elks, and Fort St. John's Men's Shed Society.
