Music in the Park showcases an emerging artist, an opening act, and a headliner.

West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡â€™s Music in the Park concert series is back, offering free, family-friendly entertainment every Friday night starting June 27 at the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre in Memorial Park.

The concerts run weekly until August 22, with the exception of July 11 due to Westside Daze.

The 2025 season begins with Bobby Bovenzi and Nankama, known for their West African drumming and dance performances. The evening starts at 6:15 p.m. with a free drumming workshop led by Bovenzi. You're welcome to bring your own djembe — or show up early to borrow one provided by Nankama.

After the workshop, the music continues with Nankama’s lively drum and dance show, followed by Alma Kubana, sharing the rhythms of Cuba and Latin America.

Each concert features an emerging artist, an opening act and a headliner, chosen by Creative Okanagan Artist and Event Development Society. Shows run from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m..

The Fun Zone, hosted by West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Recreation and Culture, offers games and activities for all ages. A selection of local food trucks will be on-site serving snacks, meals and beverages.

Free parking is available at several nearby locations, including Carrington Court (thanks to Westbank First Nation) and the corner of Old Okanagan Highway and Ingram Road. A parking map is online at westkelownacity.ca/musicinthepark.

If a concert needs to be postponed due to bad weather, poor air quality or another emergency, updates will be posted by 6:30 p.m. on the City of West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡â€™s social media channels.

Music in the Park 2025 is presented by RE/MAX, with support from Pushor Mitchell LLP, The Heritage Retirement Residence, Just4Fun, and Stingray Radio’s K96.3 and New Country 100.7.
