The organizers of the Underground Wasteland Music Festival, coming to Penticton Oct. 17 and 18, are gearing up for the event with a fundraiser performance.
Norm Mathers a co-founder of 3N1GMA, the masterminds behind the Underground Wasteland Music Festival, will be presenting a music event in Penticton pn May 17, featuring Okanagan heavyweights Storm The Empire, local legends At Times of Madness and newcomers Full Known Nuisance.
All of the funds raised from this event will be going directly towards supporting the Underground Wasteland Fest.
"Our goal is to use these funds to invest in better equipment and higher-quality entertainment for the festival, ensuring an exceptional experience for attendees," explained Mathers.
The May event "unites a diverse group of musicians from a wide range of bands that have left their mark on the Okanagan music scene, including High Horse, The Pasties, Lakeman, The Wild, Wolftrack, and others,鈥 read a statement from 3N1GMA.
Taking place at Clancy鈥檚 Pub, the "time has come for the underground to rise from the ashes and collide music genres of punk, rock and metal."
Doors open at 8 p.m., with Full Known Nusiance, a thrash punk band based in Oliver taking to the stage at 9 p.m. Full Known Nusiance is known for its raw groovy punk sound with a focus on riff-driven aggressive punk/hardcore.
Then at 10 p.m., At Times of Madness, a nu-metal/punk band, will perform. The 麻豆精选 band is known for their raw energy blending elements of metal, post-punk, and old-school metal.
Closing out the night at 11 p.m. will be Storm the Empire, a Canadian progressive metalcore band which is just about to release its latest EP.
