Seniors Outreach & Resource Centre is a trusted place for those who care about the well-being of our older adults. For over 35 years, we鈥檝e supported vulnerable seniors in 麻豆精选 and surrounding areas- especially those facing isolation, low income, frailty, or housing instability.
Each year, nearly 2,000 seniors benefit from our programs, which include help at home, transportation, meals, assistive aides, recreation, friendly visits, a free tax clinic, and guidance with housing and healthcare. We鈥檙e a small charity powered by the generosity of volunteers and donors who believe in creating moments of connection, care, and dignity.
Rising living costs are pushing more seniors into poverty. In the Central Okanagan, nearly 6,000 seniors live below the poverty line. Many come to us in distress, saying, 鈥淚 never thought this would happen to me.鈥�
