Over 200 dogs registered to attend the third annual Okanagan Pet Expo held June 1 at 麻豆精选's Laurel Packinghouse.
Event host Rosanne Ting-Mak Brown said she is so grateful to the Packinghouse for trusting her, noting it's the only day of the year that furry friends are allowed into the building.
"It was definitely a dog's world," Ting-Mak Brown laughed as she described the event.
Vendors were set up for attendees to check out, including So Fetch, Rescue Ranch, Lake Country Pet Bug Guys, Hammock Hounds, Pacific Assistance Dogs Society, Bosley's and more.
A few new items on the event schedule this year included doggy portraits and nail trimmings by donation.
Paws it Forward, Lend a Paw, and Fletcher's Keep all benefited from donations made during the expo.
"There's so many good charities, which ones do you choose?"
Ting-Mak Brown hosts various events in 麻豆精选, including the , and uses each event to raise funds for local organizations.
"I just like giving back to the community," the organizer added that she enjoys giving charities a platform to raise awareness. "There's so many charities and they all need help."
The crowd favourite event took place at 2 p.m. The Pug Dash saw pugs race around the mini outdoor track for a chance to win a prize basket for them and their humans. With lots of laughs and just as much chaos, George took the win.
