A female mastiff dog was brought into the care of the Okanagan Humane Society (OHS) when she needed an emergency C-section.
A local veterinarian partner of OHS was able to perform the C-section saving the mom and all 10 puppies.
Now, the puppies are up for adoption.
The nine-week-old mastiff cross pups will need lots of attention and a home with lots of room for them to grow.
Their forever home must include someone who knows the breed and is ready to exercise along with their new furry friend.
OHS was able to help this mother mastiff thanks to its pet assistance program. The organization鈥檚 pet assistance program helps people experiencing financial hardship who have difficulty affording vet bills or costs associated with owning a pet.
This assistance comes from donations to the charity, as the Humane Society does not receive funding from municipal governments and depends entirely on community support to continue its essential work.
